Boyne Thunder Poker Run

Although not officially a “race”, it sure does feel like one!

The Boyne Thunder event charges through Lake Charlevoix and Lake Michigan’s waterways on a spectacular 150-mile tour.

Boyne city downtown celebrates with a street party known as “Stroll the Streets,” which occurs at 6:00-9:30 pm. They celebrate this event with different types of music, dining, shopping, and boat show. Boyne city warmly welcomes all the participants, visitors, and residents to the Boyne thunder event. You can see many boats up close until mid-july.

During the Poker Run participants in the event need to reach at least five checkpoints, drawing a playing card at each, and on Saturday evening the crew with the best poker hand wins.

Boyne City is an amazing city of unique beauty, history and heritage. Here you can shop for vintage clothing, enjoy quality time at a local cafe or dip your toes in the clear waters of Lake Charlevoix. Boyne Thunder Poker Race is a unique event that starts off in Boyne city’s downtown in July.
