An annual event for over 60 years, the AuSable Canoe Marathon is one of the most beloved events for canoe racing enthusiasts and receives the highest number of spectators in comparison to all North Michigan events. Event participants endure a 120-mile canoe race from Grayling to Oscoda. The AuSable Canoe Marathon was established in 1947 and it is the toughest and longest nonstop canoeing event in the world.
